Thinking about studying abroad? More and more Indian students are choosing to pursue their education overseas, and the benefits are numerous. Studying abroad provides access to a top-notch education, state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities for focused research. Additionally, foreign universities offer a wide range of specialized degree programs that may not be available locally. Upon earning an international degree from a prestigious university, students can expect unparalleled career options and compensation.

When it comes to studying in Europe, Germany stands out as a dream destination for students. With its esteemed and renowned universities, Germany offers an inclusive environment, affordable living, delectable cuisine, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant nightlife. For those seeking the best in education, Germany’s top-ranked institutions provide a global MBA program that guarantees an exceptional learning experience.

Why Study in Germany?

High-Quality Education: Germany boasts globally recognized universities and courses, providing a competitive advantage for a successful career. Despite the lower cost of education compared to other European countries, the quality of education remains excellent.

Great Career Prospects: Alongside quality education, Germany offers abundant work opportunities for international students. Whether it's part-time positions to cover college fees or full-time employment after graduation, finding a job in Germany is relatively easy. As a student, you can work both on and off-campus for up to 120 full working days or 240 half working days per year.

Affordable Education: In many states in Germany, higher education institutes are financed by the state. While certain continuing master's programs or private universities may require tuition fees, they are still considerably lower compared to other European countries.

Scholarships and Funding: International students have access to fully and partially funded scholarships through organizations like DAAD, party-related foundations, and business-affiliated organizations.

Post-Study Work Visa: Graduates from German universities can take advantage of an 18-month post-study work visa, allowing them to stay in the country and pursue a career.

Free Sports Programs: In addition to free education, German universities provide easy access to sports programs, which are often free for international students.

Intakes and Deadlines:

Germany has two intakes each year: summer and winter.

Summer Intakes: Applications for summer intakes, held in March and April, are accepted from August 15th to January 15th of the preceding year.

Winter Intakes: Applications for winter intakes, occurring in September and October, are accepted from December 15th to March 31st of the preceding year.

Entry Requirements:

To gain admission to a reputable German university, you typically need a minimum academic score of 60% and a minimum IELTS band of 6 or a TOEFL score of 87. While knowledge of the German language can be advantageous, it is not a requirement for most universities. Some master's programs, such as Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Engineering, may prefer a GRE score of 310+ and a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 75%.

Duration and Tuition Fees:

Master's programs typically last 1-2 years, while bachelor's programs require 3 years of study. Most public universities in Germany do not charge tuition fees, though some may require a nominal amount of 200-500 Euros per semester. Living and accommodation expenses are separate from tuition fees.

Required Documents for University Applications:

To secure admission to a German university, you will generally need the following documents:

For bachelor's programs: Academic percentage of 60-65 in 10th and 12th standard.

For master's programs: Minimum 60% in bachelor's degree.

IELTS overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.

Approximately 9000 to 15000 Euros per year for tuition fees.

Additional documents may be required by specific programs or universities. Your global education consultants will guide you accordingly.
